Yuki Matsuda

Founded in 1989 by Yuki Matsuda, Meg Company is an independent, California-based studio of brands rooted in craftsmanship, cultural preservation, and material integrity. What began in a South Bay apartment—with Yuki Matsuda sourcing vintage garments and rare American-made goods from flea markets like the Rose Bowl—has grown into a quiet force in global menswear. Today, Meg Company is home to four distinct but deeply connected brands: Yuketen, Monitaly, Chamula, and Epperson Mountaineering. Each exists as a continuation of Yuki Matsuda’s lifelong fascination with heritage—whether it's hand-lasted moccasins made in Maine, Mexican huaraches woven by indigenous artisans, or reengineered military garments built from deadstock fabric. Guided by Yuki Matsuda’s hands-on philosophy and eye for detail, Meg Company creates things that are meant to last, to be lived in, and to tell stories with time.

My role encompassed many responsibilities from supply chain management to order processing to creating tech-packs for suppliers to quality assurance and even assisting on or carrying out photoshoots. Below are selections from some of the shoots I led. His goods are sold at boutiques across the globe but primarily in the US and Japan.
